1. How technology is going to affect how your students are going to be learning
2. How you as a teacher will be learning.
After attending your class, I have realized some important insights. In my opinion, the use of technology in primary school teaching and learning session is effective because it integrates the latest technology into the existing curriculum to be taught to the school children. In this way, the teacher provides pupils with exposure to the technology that is available in the real world. Besides that it also makes the lesson more interesting and lively as for example by the use of animation or special effects as teaching aids during the teaching and learning session in the classroom. It will be easier for the pupils to understand the content of the lesson as well as enable the teacher to sustain pupils’ interest. As far as I am concerned kids have short time span, hopefully by the use of technology will enable to prolong their time span. This can be done when they are really interested in the lesson.
However, there are several flaws too that I had identified. Apart from the advantages side, technology has its drawback as for example, if there is no electricity then the teacher cannot use whatever he or she had prepared on the computer during the teaching session in the classroom. By the end of the day, he or she has to fall back to the traditional methods by using paper and chalk to teach. Supposedly the teacher should always have a back up plan in order to cope with anything that might happen.
How me as a teacher learning?
Concerning myself who owned a very basic computer skill, I will have to learn a great deal to be well equipped with ICT skills as it is becoming a vital knowledge in this era. From my observation, not many teachers possess the knowledge and skills in ICT. This is very glaring especially in the rural area. The teacher is still using the traditional chalk and blackboard method to teach which I think is old fashioned and makes the lesson boring. Sometimes, the teacher intends to incorporate technology in their lesson but somehow they cannot use the technology such as LCD to project the slide due to the lack of these facilities in school. In my opinion, to overcome this, the teacher have to be trained by the expert continuously in order to ensure that they are well equipped with the latest IT knowledge and skills. Government should also upgraded the rural school with these gadgets in order to make the teaching and learning much more meaningful and captivating in the future.

mukmin, i agree with you about teachers in the rural area are not fully equip by the knowledge of the technology as they think that it is not necessary as pupils in the rurals will not have the interest to learn with integration of technology. i think they should give a maximum exposure to the students especially in the rurals area so that they will never be so left out in this globalization era.
salam min,
i am interested with your idea that teacher has to fall back to traditional method if there are any problems regarding to ICT. If the teacher knows on how to solve the problem, i could say that the particular teacher is a creative teacher. it is because, it is not easy to handle the students at the same time prepare for the new lesson. He or she has to face surprise and expected responses from the students.
So,min. Good luck to you and all the best!
