I find todays lesson was interesting and engrossing as we were introduced to something which we had never learn before. It was the Windows Movie Maker software which is meant for making up a simple movie clips. By using this particular software, one can create their own movie clips by inserting the special effects on the slides as well as inserting the appropriate song to the video.

I have heard about this software sometime ago but the knowledge was very basic and limited as I have never tried to use it before. For me, it was very hard to understand the theory unless I was given the chance to try it myself. Since many of us did not familiar with this software, so the lecturer have decided to show us some examples of movie clips done by our seniors as an exposure. In this video viewing session, we could see that it involves a variety of editing work such as photo editing, video editing as well as audio editing. Haha, I knew about all these editing stuffs from my resources class. But as I have said earlier on, the knowledge was still at the surface level. Thanks to the lecturer for being very concern about our unfamiliarity with the software.

Then, the lecturer informed us about our assignment for this particular course. Guess what the assignment is? Owh my god! We have to create our own video within 3 minutes by using any kind of video making software such as the Windows Movie Maker, the power director and etc. Seriously, this was a very shocking news for me. I kept on thinking, how am I going to do it? I have never make up a video before…not even a single one…sigh…To add on, I do not know how to use the Windows Movie Maker software. And the questions keep on increasing.

To my relief, the lecturer agree to provide us with the tutorial on how to use the windows movie maker. It was some kind of a precious gift given by god to his subordinates. At least I could catch my breath again. Though I was not confident with myself, at least I knew that I will have something to refer to.

Hmm…now I will try out an approach which called the trial and error approach. I always belief that we will never learn anything until we try it out and the mistakes that we make is the great teacher of all.
